The year of the fire monkey 2/8/16

After 12 months of the dignified and surefooted Goat, the New Year of the Red Fire Monkey is going shake, rattle and roll!

Monkeys are intelligent, witty, creative animals with a playful, restless nature.  They tend to be strong willed with few inhibitions or guilt and will happily test their (sometimes questionable) theories and take risks. These traits make for a year where anything can happen!

The influence of the monkey will help us find new, unconventional solutions to old problems, and daring to be different will be the path to success.  While we can expect an economic upturn, the atmosphere may be one of upheaval and insecurity.  And rightly so – the monkey can be a tricky, deceitful little beast. Business decisions should be made on fact, not emotion, and take nothing for granted. But the monkey will improve communication with his humor and wit, so we should be able to get through the stressful times with some grace.

With all this chaos, don’t let your health suffer!  This will be a year of movement and progress, so now is the time to establish your fitness routine. But keep it fun so that is burns off all that stress.  Get regular bodywork like acupuncture and massage to keep the Qi moving.  Eat good, whole foods – you will need the fuel for this fast paced year!

This will be the year to stretch yourself physically and professionally.  Take informed risks, put those creative plans in action, celebrate your individuality, be inventive.  But be careful of that monkey-like impulsivity and keep a lid on the pocketbook. Especially when it comes to those trendy tech fads.  In general, have fun, because if craziness is going to succeed, it will be this year!

Monkeys are mischievous jokesters and are sometimes seen an untrustworthy. Because they know they are smart, they may come across as arrogant and impatient with a dollop of jealous suspicion thrown in.
